Fund Strategy

To achieve the investment objective, the Fund will invest in an actively managed portfolio composed primarily of North American corporate debt securities issued by both investment grade and non-investment grade rated corporations. The Fund may also invest in government bonds, loans (including floating rate loans, senior loans and unsecured loans), convertible bonds and derivatives. The Fund may also invest in North American equities with a meaningful income component to their expected return.

Investment Process

The Fund will invest in an actively managed portfolio of US and Canadian High Yield and Investment Grade Bonds both long and short, and, to a lesser degree Canadian and US Equities with a high-income component to return.  The goals of the Fund are 1) to preserve capital, 2) to internally generate current yield that can be distributed to investors without the use of significant leverage, and 3) to provide capital appreciation through long and short security selection.

Mutual Fund Solutions

Commissions, trailing commissions, management fees and expenses all may be associated with mutual fund investments. Please read the prospectus before investing. Mutual funds are not guaranteed, their values change frequently and past performance may not be repeated.

The risk level of a fund has been determined in accordance with a standardized risk classification methodology in National Instrument 81-102, that is based on the fund’s historical volatility as measured by the 10-year standard deviation of the fund’s returns.  Where a fund has offered securities to the public for less than 10 years, the standardized methodology requires that the standard deviation of a reference mutual fund or index that reasonably approximates the fund’s standard deviation be used to determine the fund’s risk rating.  Please note that historical performance may not be indicative of future returns and a fund’s historical volatility may not be indicative of future volatility.
